What are the transport options to the Sofitel Wentworth?
CAR PARK
The Sofitel Wentworth Hotel car park is operated by Wilson Parking. Entry and exit is via Bligh Street and is Valet only. You can take advantage of their specially discounted parking rate of $57.00 per car, per day, for the entire duration of the conference. Overnight parking is $60.00. Please advise the parking attendant that you are attending the event in-house and they will validate your ticket accordingly.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Sydney’s Kingsford Smith International and Domestic Airport – 14 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes’ driving time, taxi service available.
Bus stop – 20 metres
Wynyard Train Station – 500 metres
Martin Place Train Station – 300 metres
Circular Quay Ferry – 700 metres

Luggage storage
Cloak rooms for exclusive use for conference delegates will be located outside of the conference rooms on Level 3.
Where is the dinner venue?
This year we are keeping the dinner venue at the same location as the conference venue. So, please return to the main ballroom at the Sofitel Wentworth on Level 3 for the dinner on Thursday 29th August.
Dress code (conference and dinner)
Dress code for the conference or dinner is not strictly specified. Smart casual or business wear is recommended during the day. Many conference attendees choose to get dressed up for the conference dinner.
Payment terms and cancellation fees
As a Member, your conference registration and dinner costs are covered by the Mutual. However, if cancellation notice is not received by Monday 26th August 2019, or you do not show up, you will be invoiced the full amount of $495 (inc GST) for the 2 day conference and $160 (inc GST) for the dinner.
Can I register if I am not part of a Member Council?
You sure can! You can fill out the Public Registration Form here. An invoice will be sent to you following your registration.
Can I give my registration spot to a colleague if I can no longer attend?
Yes you can. Please email events@statewidemutual.com.au with the following details of the replacement person by Tuesday 27th August:
- Full Name
- Title
- Council
- Phone number
- Dietary needs
- Whether they are attending dinner
Registration
The closing date for registration is Monday 26th of August however, if Members register after this date, we ask that you please email events@statewidemutual.com.au as soon as possible to secure a spot.
