Survivors of the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria have secured a massive payout of $500 million. The settlement involved 10,000 people, including families of those killed in the fire, the injured and those who lost property.
The Kilmore East-Kinglake bushfire devastated 125,000 hectares of land and destroyed over 1,000 homes.
