There is no doubt the use of Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) is increasing at an exponential rate and the use of RPA offers both risk and opportunity for local government.
To help capitalise on the benefits, Statewide Mutual has not only endorsed the Public Liability Scheme wording to provide member councils with RPA cover, it has also partnered with AVCRM Paperless Operations to provide member councils with access to a fully customisable and paperless risk management solution for RPA.
Additionally, those councils with an aerodrome or airport will be provided with access to the Aerodrome Module from the same system which covers all of your risk management and compliance needs. All members are able to access these systems free of charge.
Industry regulations for RPA and Aerodrome paperwork and reporting are currently complex and time consuming putting the operation at risk of safety and compliance breaches.
The AVCRM product suite is a collection of web-based applications managed by a team of aviation professionals who understand the operational and regulatory demands required to maintain compliance through CASA.
Addressing compliance, safety, scheduling, operational management, reporting and records management the AVCRM systems allow users to streamline processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.

System Support & Hardware
In addition to the implementation setup and training AVCRM also offers an online technical ticket support system. This system is available from within the application. A live help platform can be accessed via the AVCRM website [https://AVCRM.net]. The support team is available during NSW business hours, Monday-Friday (9am-5pm).
AVCRM Paperless Operations uses a cloud based system than can be accessed remotely using a wide variety of phone, tablet or computer systems.
AVCRM recommends the use of iPad devices (preference being the newer Air models) as they provide the most stable platform for remote operations. Devices with access to the 3G or 4G cellular network are most suitable. For desktop or laptop users the recommended platforms are Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox. Internet Explorer is NOT recommended for best performance.
Further details regarding client support systems, security and hardware recommendations are available in the product brochures.
